Passionately keen to bring the best to customers, we endeavour to present only solid and well constructed early pieces in our showroom.
Browsing through our shop, you will find our furniture has been sympathetically hand restored and some, wherever possible, preserved to maintain the original patina.
Our furniture stock currently include items made of cedar, kauri pine, huon pine, silky oak, maple, European oak, mahogany, walnut, baltic pine, pitch pine, beech and English elm. Periods selected range from early 19th to the 20th century; with the English Georgian oak corner cabinet being the oldest made circa 1790.
Colonial Australian cedar being our first preference when buying furniture, we would also like to diversify our selection into Victorian, Edwardian, Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Deco furniture when good pieces available on offer.
Interesting pre 1900 well made and rather unusually designed country furniture adds to our stock display.
Imported English and American oak were commonly used for making large furniture such as desks/roll top, wardrobes, bookcases, sideboards among others. They are very solid and well constructed.
Our small collection of personally selected baltic pine, originating from countries in Continental Europe such as Austria, Germany, Romania, Hungary and France, presents fascinating designs and function.
